The just released City of Calgary Recreation Gap Analysis Report identifies South East Calgary as the fastest growing, yet most underserved quadrant for recreation facilities in the city. Please add my name to the list of those demanding this change NOW! Through the signing of this petition I declare my support for the immediate development of a full scale recreation centre on the site already reserved by the City of Calgary in Seton, just south of the hospital now under construction.

I further declare that the City of Calgary reaffirm their motion of Nov. 5, 2007, directing $70 million ($70,000,000) towards the construction of a major recreation center for the South East, and that these dollars be assigned to the Seton site for immediate development.

Finally, I also support the Seton Sport, Recreation, and Wellness Committee in their request to the Federal Government, that $25 million ($25, 000,000) of the recently announced budget for Infrastructure spending also be granted to the Seton site for immediate development.
